Love it or Hate it Big Brother is back on our screens. I am disappointed with the new series and feel that the producers have ruined the show. I don't like the 12 women and no men in the house to start idea. After a few days they introduce a man "Ziggy" who causes most of the bitching and is worse than most the girls.

Apparently 2 more men will be introduced tonight I still don't think its enough though. I liked the old way were equal number both go in.
Maybe its just me but So far I am not impressed with it.
However at least they don't stand for any racial comments this year with Emily being booted out for using racially offensive words. But would they kick people out for calling people "Queer", "Fat", "Ginger comments" & anything else that's offensive. Some how I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!

OK,
Ive always been a massive fan of BB (I know im really sad) and this year I know i will watch the programme every night. However this isnt because BB is the shining light in my life, its because its trash TV. Lets face it - theres not much entertainment on tv these days (except for desperate housewives etc) and therefore at 10pm it is nice to watch a rather mindless show. I must admit, im getting a bit bored of the housemates that theyve put in already. I can see what the producers were trying to do by putting a load of gals in to bitch and fight and prance around in hot pants, trying to be top cat. Also in theory, it is an amusing idea to just put one chap in for the sex starved ladies to fight over.
However from this OK idea, came not so exciting viewing.
The housemates are as follows (in my opinion)
Lesley and Carole: old and hairy
The twins: seen them in the shining
Laura: another welsh disaster (im welsh and if they put another half wit welshy on, i shall disown my country)
Nicki: Uninteresting but has long eyelashes
Tracey: Bloke
Shabnam: Needs her meds
Charley: Needs a slap
Chanelle: As thick as two short planks, and her hair has a natural curl. Who knew?
Ziggy: Looks like a blonde riddler.
There, i have that off my chest, phew.
As for the racial thing, i think emily was out of line however i dont think there was any racial intent. I think she's a silly girl who needs to be aware that her actions can affect other people, and no matter what she meant by that term, it is still not acceptable.
I do also agree that other terms should also be deemed unacceptable, it seems acceptable to make fun of gender, sexuality etc without consequence.
Also i feel that the 'N'word is highly used amongst the black culture to one another, and i think this also is unacceptable. No one should refer to another person by that name.
Moving on, i do hope that BB gets better, as it is an evening filler and discussuion topic, and my summer wouldnt be the same without it.
